OUR STORY:

BUILT on Grit, Fuelled by Family

Our legacy began not in a boardroom, but with a dream. Our founder, Mr. Loh Lum Wah, arrived in Malaya with little but an unwavering determination to build a better life. He believed deeply in the power of education and hard work, values that would become our bedrock.

The true turning point came from a leap of faith—not his own, but that of his wife, Mdm. Lien. Just as hope seemed lost, she invested her entire life’s savings into his dream. That act of belief and partnership gave birth to Tong Woh in 1968.

From a modest medicine hall, his sons—Albert, Andy, and Donny Loh—fearlessly pivoted the business into liquor distribution, laying the groundwork for national growth. Today, the third generation, Michelle, Teck Wei and Clement lead with that same entrepreneurial DNA, blending our heritage with a progressive vision.

Guided by the philosophy of our founder, Mr. Loh Lum Wah:
“同心合力，和和气气” — “Together We Unite, In Harmony We Grow.” We are a Malaysian success story, three generations strong — built on resilience, family, and the courage to bet on a better tomorrow.

A Legacy of Growth & Partnership

1968

Our story begins with the founding of Tong Woh Medical Hall by Mr. Loh Lum Wah.
1976-1979

The second generation enters the business, with Mr. Albert Loh pioneering our pivot into liquor distribution. This led to the formal registration of Tong Woh Enterprise Sdn. Bhd.
1990s

A decade of major partnerships began with our appointment as a distributor for Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB), now Heineken Malaysia solidifying our presence in the Klang Valley.
2000s

We expanded into luxury with our Fine Wines division and entered a landmark strategic partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, becoming its key distributor in Central Malaysia.
2010s

Growth accelerated with key appointments including Red Bull and Nikka Whisky. We became the official importing partner for prestigious spirit houses like Edrington and Maison Ferrand.
2020s

Our portfolio expanded to include global icons like William Grant & Sons, Kirin Ichiban, Perrier, and Suntory Global Spirits.
2025 & Beyond

We continue to build on our legacy, relocating our HQ to Subang and preparing for the next chapter of growth and innovation.
